This blog is dedicated to reviewing the beers that I sample along my travels. My name is Ted, and I am an amateur beer enthusiast. I know what I like and don't like, and my reviews will be completely biased. For example, I don't particularly enjoy the bitterness of a hoppy beer, so I am not likely to rate any IPA's very high. Your mileage may differ.
Existent American Farmhouse Ale by Stillwater Artisanal Brewery in CT. A strong ale at 7.4%. Easy pour with modest head, lingering froth on the glass. Fruity wheaty bouquet with a hint of cereal - shreddies or cheerios came to mind. Taste profile strong citrus, almost sour lemon overtop a wheaty palate. Needly carbonation. Aftertaste a bit bitter in back of throat. Food pairing essential. We paired it with some strong gruyere - matched very well. Spicey home nuts & bolts not so well. 2.5 bottlecaps out of 5 but could appeal to the fan of strong ales. Appetizer beverage.
