Advent Calendar Day 4

Yukon 39 1/2 Foot Pole Black Currant Ale (6.7%) by Yukon BrewingCompany

Well, not too much to say about this one.  It pours a cloudy orange color with a small head that doesn't last.  Aroma is hoppy, taste is hoppy, finish is hoppy.  Not as bitter as an IPA, but too much hop for me.

Don't Buy

  1. 391/2 Foot Pole from Yukon Brewing. A black currant ale from a favourite micro-brewery. Smooth pour. Red amber colour. Malty nose with citrus. Sweetness on the tongue, hints of pineapple and lemon peel. Sharp, acidic on the palate and bitter aftertaste. Complex brew. I would buy this and drink on a cool day in spring. 3 1/2 bottle caps out of 5.
