Espresso Amber Ale (6.8%) by Peak Organics Brewing Company
This beer poured a dark amber, almost orange colour, cloudy, with a medium head that dissipates fairly quickly. Tastes of coffee, caramel, and chocolate, with a crisp hops presence on the palate. The hops does not take over this beer, as the espresso and malt flavours prevail.
This is a definite buy. A fine example of a beer that makes you sit back and appreciate the complexity of it. I'll be looking for this one in the store.
Peak Organic Brewing Company Espresso Amber Ale from Portland, Maine. An amber that is infused with Bolivian coffee. Modest head, amber colour, bitter coffee taste. Sorry, I don't get it. No bottlecaps out of 5.
